Take a trip aboard the Orient Express safely and virtually to help raise funds for the Women's Division Chamber of Commerce during their Fashion and Frolic event.

The virtual portion of the event will begin on Friday, September 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and will allow “passengers” to enjoy a weeklong journey to preview the popular Style Show, Vendor Marketplace shopping opportunities, mobile access to bid on a silent auction, and raffle items, and option to donate to the Fund-a-Need program.

This year’s Fashion & Frolic theme is the Orient Express, which is a virtual ride on a luxury train that travels from Istanbul, Turkey to Paris, France. Along its route, the train will stop in Venice, Italy for shopping opportunities at the Vendor Marketplace, which will feature nine local businesses, through pre-recorded videos, showcasing their products and services.

Then it will travel to Milan for a runway style show featuring local clothing stores.

Lastly, it will stop in Paris for passengers to bid online for an array of items in a mobile silent auction, including trip packages like a South African Safari on the Zulu Nyala Preserve, Cabo San Lucas, Napa Valley wine tour, and skiing in Lake Tahoe. Other items include golf packages, artwork, dining and entertainment, and items for the home.

The event is open to the public, however, only 300 “boarding passes” are available for $20 each. Ticketholders will also receive two $10 chances to win a $200 Meijer gift card.

It will culminate with a live, virtual event on September 24 at 6:30 p.m.
