KALAMAZOO, Mich. — With various incident of destruction, vandalism, and looting, a local state of emergency has been declared for Kalamazoo County, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday morning.
“It is disheartening that anyone would put the peace and property of Kalamazoo and its residents and the lives of our dedicated law enforcement, EMS, and Fire professionals at risk as well,” said Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller in a release.
The Local Declaration of Emergency was prepared and signed by Kalamazoo County Commission Chair Julie Rogers.
