GRAND RAPIDS — WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Ty Shesky: A new system will be a mix of rain and snow later in the day on Sunday, then will produce light lake-effect snow for Monday. Snow totals will be 1" to 2" around and north of I-96 with a dusting to an inch further south. Tuesday, we take a brief break before the next system arrives with snow, wintry mix and rain overnight Tuesday through Wednesday and Thursday.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and seasonably cold. Lows in the lower to middle 20s. West wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and mild. Highs in the upper 30s. East/southeast wind at 6 to 12 mph.

TOMORROW NIGHT: A mix of rain and snow likely. The precipitation could also mix with sleet or freezing rain towards daybreak. Lows in the mid to upper 20s. South wind at 7 to 14 mph becoming west/northwest late.

MONDAY: Snow showers continue with gusty winds. The best chance of snow will be in the morning and midday hours. Highs in the lower 30s. West/northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny and colder. Highs only in the upper 20s.
