GRAND RAPIDS — West Michigan woke up to a bit of rain early Sunday morning, but very quickly dried out and started to break away the cloud cover. Clouds will continue to break up throughout the day leading to partly cloudy conditions with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will work into the lower 70s with a west and northwest wind making our northern and lakeshore communities a bit cooler.

Monday and Tuesday we will have mostly sunny skies but the sunshine can be a bit hazy due to some smoke possible in the upper levels of our atmosphere from the wild fires out west. Plan on temperatures warming up mid-week into the upper 70s before a cold front moves through on Thursday. Some showers and maybe even a few thunderstorm possible with that cold front on Thursday before we cool off again.
