NORFOLK, Va. – The new aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford arrived in her home port earlier this week and one sailor aboard has a connection to Ford’s adopted home, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Chief Aviation Ordnanceman Curt Lyons, who is originally from Ionia, is stationed aboard the ship.
