KENTWOOD, Mich. — The FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition was held at East Kentwood’s Freshman Campus Saturday morning.
The purpose of the competition was for each team participating to design, build, program, and operate robots to play a floor game.
The teams are guided by young adult coaches and mentors.
The superintendent of Kentwood Public Schools and guest speakers from GE Aviation spoke at the event’s opening ceremonies.
More than 30 schools from all across Michigan participated in the competition.
