POLKTON TWP., Mich. – A mom and two kids were hurt Tuesday afternoon when their car drifted in front of a semi-truck.
The crash happened on 68th Avenue near Arthur Street at about 3:00pm.
Ottawa County deputies say that the car’s driver, Meredith Slater, was heading north on 68th when she drifted into the southbound lane. A semi-truck heading south saw her drift into his path and was able to slow down, but was not able to completely avoid the collision.
Slater and her two daughters, ages 2 and 6, were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Deputies say that Slater was not able to recall what caused her to drift into the southbound lane.
