With the 1st place Detroit Lions having played on Thursday against NFC foe Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers playing Monday night and the Chicago Bears taking on an AFC opponent on CBS, we get a little different look this Sunday.
Fox Sports is sending our market the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Atlanta Falcons Sunday at 1:00pm this week. The Bears take on the Tennessee Titans on CBS, with the CBS national game of Carolina at Oakland being the second game of the doubleheader.
We are getting to the point of the season where the NFL and the networks can “flex” games, meaning more nationally interesting matchups can be moved to Sunday night or Monday night football. That then causes an imbalance in the Fox and CBS schedules, which then causes changes in the Sunday mix of what games. The Chicago Bears tweeted earlier this week that they were notified by the NFL that the Week 14 matchup with the Detroit Lions is being moved from FOX to CBS, even though the NFC visiting games are usually on FOX. Here at FOX 17, we are not happy about the change. We’ll keep you posted.
