MENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Sturgis man is in custody on a variety of drug, alcohol and driving charges from an incident Tuesday night.
Michigan State Police from White Pigeon say they were called to a corn field off of Silver Street near M-60 to check out a suspicious vehicle parked in the field. There, they found an unconscious man behind the wheel. When they woke the 36-year-old man, he tried to drive off. The man stopped the vehicle after a moment and passed out.
