GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Free HIV testing is available again at the Kent County Health Department next week.
Starting Monday, November 28 and running all week, anyone can walk in to the Kent County Health Department at 700 Fuller NE and get tested for free. The service is usually free, but normally only available by appointment. No appointment is necessary through December 2nd.
The offer coincides with World AIDS Day, which is December 1st.
The test will be conducted by certified HIV counselors and only requires a drop of blood. Results are available in about 20 minutes.
