DEARBORN, Mich. — The annual estimate of holiday travel by AAA of Michigan predicts the highest number of Michigan residents on the road this Thanksgiving weekend since 2007. The auto club says we should expect more than 1.5 million travelers to go more than 50 miles from home between Wednesday and Sunday.
The busiest travel days will be Wednesday and Sunday.
The number of road travelers in Michigan this year will be 2.3 percent higher than last year, says AAA’s prediction. They expect the number of Michiganders traveling by air to be 2 percent less.
