GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Emergency vehicles come in all sorts of shapes and sizes...and have different colors of strobe lights as well.
Fire and rescue lights have been red and police are blue. Yellow lights are on all sorts of vehicles, including mail and newspaper delivery, tow trucks, etc.
But now, in Kent County, road commission trucks and snow plows will be green. The change is part of an effort to hopefully get you, the driver, to notice snow plows easier and to give them room on the streets when snow is falling and roads are icy.
