GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – More than 700 people came out for the Dirty Duel Race at Robinette’s Saturday.

Participants got to choose from a 3.3 mile or 3.7 mile trail.

The owner of Michigan Adventure Racing who coordinated the race with Robinette’s, Mark VanTongeren, says he believes this race is the only race of its kind that allows people to choose between two different courses.

Either way, he says, both are extremely challenging to complete.

“You get to pick between two different courses one that is short and brutal and one that is long and difficult,” he says.

VanTongeren says Robinette’s is a great host because it’s next to Provin Trails and Kuiper College which both have trails.

“So we stitch them all together to create two courses,” he says.
