GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Westbound I-96 has cleared after a chase ended at Plainfield Avenue.

The chase began east of the Lowell area.  Michigan State Police and Kent County deputies assisted Lowell Police after the red pickup truck failed to stop for an officer.  The incident began in Lowell as a "be on the lookout" for a reckless driver.

Police tells FOX 17 that the vehicle was stolen out of Lansing and also had a stolen license plate.  Authorities used the truck's OnStar system to stop the vehicle.

The chase ended on I-96 at Plainfield Avenue NE.  The suspect has been taken into custody without incident.  No crashes or injuries were reported.

We'll have more details when they become available.
