EGELSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A driver who rear-ended an Oakridge Public Schools bus early Friday was reported in critical condition, said Oakridge Superintendent Tom Livezy in a Facebook post to parents.
Livezy assured parents that none of the children on the bus were hurt, and the district's transportation department quickly arranged for the students to make it to school on a different bus.
The crash took place shortly after 7 a.m. on Maple Island Road just north of Apple Avenue. Maple Island Road was still closed as of 9:30 a.m.
