HOLLAND TWP., Mich. – An Ottawa County woman was critically injured in a crash Thursday morning.

The crash happened just after 8:00am at 120th Avenue and New Holland Street.  Deputies say that the 53-year-old West Olive woman was driving her 2006 Volvo east on New Holland when she stopped at the 120th Avenue stop sign and then continued into the intersection.  Her vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a semi-trailer hauling sawdust heading north on 120th Avenue.  The truck pushed the Volvo off the road into a tree off the side of the intersection.

The woman’s car was wrapped around the front of the truck and the woman was pinned.  She was extricated by firefighters and taken to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.  Deputies say she was semi-conscious and talking.  The truck driver was not injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
