NORTON SHORES, Mich. – More details have been released about a drowning victim in Norton Shores.
Police have identified the man as Thomas Bultema, 61, of Norton Shores. He was reported missing Tuesday night and his body was found in a pond behind his home Wednesday.
Police say they have also found a leaf blower in the pond and they believe Bultema was using it while home alone between 3:30 and 5:00pm Tuesday. They believe he fell into the pond accidentally unnoticed and drowned.
Police were first called to the 5500 block of Henry Tuesday about 7:30pm regarding Bultema being missing.
