GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The man accused of shooting his girlfriend and leaving her to die on a Grand Rapids street has been found guilty.
Jermaine Cooper now faces a life sentence for second-degree murder.
The body of his girlfriend, Melissa Moore, was found by a street sweeping crew in the area of Knapp and Truxton NE on the morning of Nov. 6, 2015.
Cooper was listed as a person of interest and was later arrested Dec. 4, 2015 after a stand-off with police and FBI agents in Detroit.
