NAPOLEON, Mich. — A Jackson County baby is becoming an internet sensation for saying "hello" at just two months of age.
Samantha Jones posted the video on Facebook, saying that she was Snapchatting with her friend Amber when her son, Christian, said "hello."
Jones told FOX 17 News there's no secret to how her baby uttered the word. She said she doesn't listen to language tapes or feed him super foods.
At first, Jones didn't realize her baby was speaking.
"I was expecting a smile or laugh, and then he repeated what he said, so I like gasped," said Jones.
Jones said she was in shock because she had never heard him say anything like that before. She posted the video to Facebook and it took off, with hundreds of thousands of views and shares.
"I just talk to him all the time. 'Hello' is really like the only word I've been saying to him so I feel like he just caught on really fast," said Jones.
Jones said she wonders what he will do next, but she knows the next step is crawling.
