WEST MICHIGAN-  The colder, shorter days are having quite the impact on our fall colors as of recent.  It’s taken some time to get some of the vibrant colors on our trees, but we’re closer to the peak color season here.

Tim Noga: Cedar Springs

You’ll see on both a viewer photo from Cedar Springs and our camera in Stanton, it’s pretty hit and miss.  There are many trees that are still green and there are some locations where the leaves have fallen completely.  Some very windy days have taken the leaves off pretty early as well, so this may hinder our full color.

Still, you can expect a bit more color before our season comes to a close here in West Michigan.  If you’re looking to see great color, avoid the U.P.  Peak season in northern Michigan is expected this weekend, so enjoy it while it lasts!
