GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- With the clown craze sweeping the nation, some Halloween attractions are capitalizing on the trend. Places like 'The Haunt' in Kent County even have an entire section devoted to clowns.

Creepy clowns are hiding behind every twist and turn.

"It was very spooky and it tripped me out," said Anna Castillo.

"It was really scary and really fun," said Kasey Senneker.

For 'The Haunt' their clown section is nothing new. They've had the clown room for the past 16 years, ever since they've been in business, but this season it's getting some more attention.

"The clown section is always popular," said casting director Dale Droski. "Our clowns do a great job. It's scary and it's funny at the same time."

Droski helps cast the 60+ actors seen through the entire show. He says clowns have always been scary, but they make them even scarier at The Haunt with a 3-D walk through.

"It's a strange thing going on right now with clowns across the country standing in the woods and trying to lure kids in there," said Droski. "That's more creepy than what you'll see here in The Haunt."

With creepy clowns in the spotlight, The Haunt is making sure their actors are safe.

"We have security here all the time standing at the ready just mere feet away," said Droski. "Everybody's safe here. We run a safe show.

The Haunt runs now through Halloween. For schedule and ticket information visit their website.
