HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is recovering from serious injuries he sustained in a bicycle crash late Monday night, police say.
The incident happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. in a parking lot near Lakewood Blvd. and 112th in Holland Township. Police say the 55-year-old man was riding his bicycle in the parking lot, when he hit a groove that caused his handlebars to suddenly turn. It is not clear if he was thrown forward due to his momentum, but police say one of the bars somehow impaled him in the groin area.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
