IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Police say a distracted driver likely triggered a chain reaction crash in Ionia County over the weekend.
It happened just before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday on South State Road near Tuttle Road.
The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office said a 20-year-old Portland man said he was distracted and struck three vehicles in front of him. The other vehicles had stopped for a dog that reportedly ran across the road prior to the crash happening.
Four people were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
