MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three family members in an Amish buggy were ejected when the buggy was hit from behind by a car. All three, the father, 35, mother, 34, and one-year-old son were taken to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 10:52 p.m. Monday on Northland Drive near Polk Road south of Stanwood.
The driver of the car told Mecosta County Sheriff deputies that he was southbound on the road when he crested a hill and the southbound buggy was in the middle of the road.
The family’s injuries are reported not to be life-threatening.
