The Kent District Library has teamed up with the Gerald R. Ford International airport to provide free books to passengers during flights.
KDL installed the Little Free Library at the airport today, where travelers have a chance to pick up a book for their trip for free, then leave a book when they're finished.
There are shelves located on both airport concourses, and provide books for all ages in all genres. There are multi-language books available as well.
“This is a tremendous partnership for us with the Kent District Library, offering one more amenity for travelers at our airport,” said Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority Acting President & CEO Phil Johnson. “We are happy to support an educational opportunity in our airport, and our hope is that travelers utilize these books to pass the time when they are traveling.”
Kent District Library volunteers will be monitoring the shelves to make sure the Little Free Library is always stocked with books.
The Airport is the eighth location for KDL’s Little Free Libraries.
