Finding Karvyon his Forever Home

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- More than 3,000 Michigan children are living in foster care, waiting to be adopted, according to the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange. As FOX 17 continues our Forever Home series, we introduce you to Karvyon, a seventh grader on his first day of school.

Karvyon is a sweet-natured 11-year-old who says he's excited to be back in school, a place he loves. Tuesday at the Grand Rapids Public Museum he was curious and ready to learn, interacting with all of Robot Zoo exhibit saying, "I think it's pretty cool."

At school, though he says gym is his favorite, Karvyon likes it all. He's an athlete who especially loves playing football, and loves reading, and simply hanging out.

"I like to play sports a lot," he said.

When it comes to growing up, Karvyon says he wants to give back and serve in the National Guard or U.S. Navy.

"To help keep the country and the state and the world safe," said Karvyon.

Yet to get there, Karvyon is hoping to find his loving, adoptive family, and to learn from them and enjoy life together.

If you want to learn more about Karvyon, or are interested in adopting him or learning about the adoption process, call his adoption agency: Orchards Children's Services at 1 (855) 694-7301.
