Bill Clinton to join organized labor for parade in Detroit

DETROIT (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton will join union members in their annual Labor Day parade in Detroit.

His visit to the city Monday comes two days after his wife’s opponent, Donald Trump, visited a predominantly black church in Detroit.

Clinton is not scheduled to speak at the end of the parade.

The parade’s theme is “Your Vote is Your Voice” and is expected to draw prominent Michigan Democrats and thousands of unionized workers.

Both President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have attended the parade in the past.

Hillary Clinton and Trump will be campaigning in Ohio on Labor Day.
