Boys use BB gun to damage cars in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police took five young males into custody, accused of damaging at least 11 cars and one house.

Calls began coming into the deptartment around 12:30 a.m. in the Verona neighborhoo of Battle Creek. The perpetrators were apparently using a BB gun on cars, mainly breaking windows with pellets.

The damaged cars and house were located on Garfield Avenue, St. Joseph Lane, Garrison Avenue, Chestnut Street, Elizabeth Avenue, and Guest Street.

The juveniles were found to have with them evidence of the damage they had done.

The suspects were turned over to their parents pending hearings in juvenile court.
