GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's been about two weeks since the Pokemon Go app created a national frenzy. People gave up their typical daily routine to hunt Pokemon creatures with their smart phones and get their friends and family involved too.

Large crowds gathered at Rosa Park Circle last Friday as the modernized game brought back lots of childhood memories.

Asia Gill was one of those excited participants last week.

"It brings back my childhood and I get to play it with her. It's really exciting. You go out there and said 'There's one! There's one!' We just get super stoked."

Once again, Rosa Parks Circle was filled with people late Saturday night as a lure party was held for the avid gamers.  The excitement and interest continues to build as people hunt down their favorite childhood creatures.

Ethan Tompkins was one of the many avid players lured downtown by the game Saturday night.

"Over there they just appear, said Tompkins "So there`s a lot of them on the lures and that`s where they are a lot, but you can just be walking around and they`ll pop out of nowhere."

Others have said they've been out a lot more since the launch of the game.
