Time is one thing we all could use a little more of, especially when it comes to our meals.
Nationally recognized Menopause Specialist with Spectrum Health Medical Group, Dr. Diana Bitner, says it's all about preparing ahead of time. Every Sunday she roasts sweet potatoes to go along with her dishes throughout the week, especially for her Breakfast Veggie Hash.
Here's what you need:
- Sauteed sweet potatoes
- Shallots
- Onions
- Garlic
- Yellow peppers
- Kale
- Tomatoes
She likes to top it off with two fried eggs. It is very important to not over-cook the veggies so they don't lose their health value. Drizzle a little maple syrup on top to sweeten it up!
Dr. Bitner is also a fan of a Chocolate Almond Milk Smoothie. All you need is:
- Chopped almonds
- Frozen kale/spinach
- Frozen bluberries
- Frozen bananas
- Frozen mangos
- Chocolate almond milk
Just top it off with some Chocolate Almond Milk and blend together.
