Grand Rapids church hosts summer food drive

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich, — Immanuel Lutheran Church is hosting a food drive and they’re asking for help in raising donations to assist the family’s in need on the northeast side of Grand Rapids.

Items needed include:

Cereal
Ramen Noodles
Boxed Macaroni & Cheese
Instant Powdered Milk
Spaghetti Sauce
Peanut Butter
Canned Soups/Meats/Fruits
Paper Towels
Boxed Potatoes
Toilet Paper
Canned Vegetables
Desserts – Baking Mixes: Cake, Brownies, Cookies
Instant Jello or Pudding

You’ll be able to drop off donations July 16-July-24 at the church located at 2 Michigan Street NE from 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Their hope is to have other churches, businesses neighborhoods and family participate in the efforts to help those less fortunate, according to a press release from church officials. The statement went onto say Maximized Living Chiropractic has already donated 400 lbs of food.
