WEST MICHIGAN — After a breezy and somewhat cooler day yesterday, high pressure will settle over the area today. This will give us lots of sunshine, warm temperatures, and lighter winds.
Although there is a complex of thunderstorms to our west as of this writing, these storms are expected to fizzle out as they encounter this area of high pressure later this morning:
Conditions will be much more favorable for boating, fishing, and/or swimming on Lake Michigan today with lighter winds and much smaller waves:
As the above mentioned area of high pressure slides to the east of us on Monday and Tuesday, a southerly flow will develop across West Michigan. This will bring in increasingly hot and humid conditions to the area, with a chance of storms by Wednesday.
