Beamer is a miniature Schnauzer looking for a loving home.
He is a very photogenic dog who loves to play, cuddle, and gives very good kisses! Beamer is 10 years old, so his adoption fee is only $50!
In addition to the many dogs and cats in the shelters, the Humane Society of West Michigan has a lot of fun events coming up this weekend too!
On Saturday, July 9, The Bissell Pet Foundation and Daddy Daughter Time are having a special screening of the animated comedy "The Secret Life of Pets."
There will be a pre-show party starting at 1 p.m. with a special group of adoptable dogs from HSWM. These dogs will be available to bring home with no adoption fees. Each dog comes with a take home gift packed with great dog essentials from Bissell.
The movie will shortly follow at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 which includes a movie ticket, popcorn, and pop.
Also on Sunday, July 10, join the world's biggest dog wash!
It'll be going on during the Whitecaps' "Dog Days" game, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
In addition to the dog washes, there will also be grooming, doggy bag giveaways, and dog contests including longest ears, dog/owner lookalike, and best dog trick.
It costs $10 per dog, and the money will go toward the children's cancer and grief program at Gilda’s Club. Afterwards, those wanting to bring their dogs into the game can buy a ticket and enjoy the game with their pet.
The Humane Society of West Michigan is located at 3077 Wilson Drive NE in Grand Rapids.
