GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is reminding the community about parking restrictions downtown.
Parking is prohibited on Ionia Avenue between Fulton and Cherry from 7 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday, and from 7 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a release.
Police say people could be cited and towed if they park during the restricted times. Metered parking will be hooded this weekend and next weekend to make people aware of the restrictions.
Parking will be available in ramps and other off-street parking.
