UPDATE: According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, Skyler Deming was located unharmed and uninjured at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for assistance in locating a runaway teenager.

The teen is identified as Skyler Deming, 13, who ran away from the D.A. Blodgett (St. John’s Home) during the weekend.

Police said Deming is not a resident of West Michigan and suffers from some mental health issues but is not believed to be a danger to others.

Due to the fact that Deming does not reside in the area, his age and his mental health, GRPD is asking that anyone who sees Deming or has contact with him to contact police as soon as possible.

The teen is described as 5-feet-9 in height and weighing 135 pounds. GRPD says it is believed that Deming has shaved his head. He was last seen wearing a green “Michigan State” T-shirt, black shorts and white socks.
