GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — An Albion couple pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of producing child pornography.

Normann Pittelkow, 42, of Albion confessed that he recorded a child on video posing naked and in lingerie then sold the video, in addition to one of her in the bathtub, for $200 to someone he met online. Pittelkow also confessed to possessing pornographic pictures he produced of three other children.

Nicole Jacob, 35, and Pittelkow’s long-time girlfriend, admitted to posing the three children in lingerie and nude in a series of photos that Pittelkow took. Jacob intended to sell the pornographic pictures online, but never did.

After fleeing the state and traveling South, the couple eventually surrendered after a nationwide bulletin went out seeking their arrest.

Pittelkow faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and a combined maximum of 40 years in prison, while Jacob faces 15 to 30 years in prison.

The case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to protect children from exploitation and abuse. For more information and resources about Project Safe Childhood in West Michigan, you can visit the U.S. Attorney’s website.
