GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A one time federal fugitive tied to a massive crystal meth drug ring will spend at least the next seven years in prison following sentencing last week.

Scott Webber was taken into custody at the U.S.-Mexico border back in November after turning himself into federal authorities.  He'd been on the run since May 2014 for his connection to a crystal meth drug ring that was operating in and around the Kalamazoo area.

Webber is one of six people tied to the operation.  More than $350,000 in pure crystal meth was seized in the bust.  The ring leader of the operation, Francis Block, was sentenced to life in prison in the case.

Webber will serve no less than 151 months in prison and will also be on supervised release for five years following his time behind bars.
