PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 15-year-old boy was stabbed by another 15-year-old boy in a disagreement over a 14-year-old girl. The victim is in the hospital but is expected to recover.
It took some digging for Calhoun County deputies to get the story straight once they showed up at the scene in the 100 block of Maxwell Avenue in Pennfield Township. First reports said the stabbing was part of a robbery, but the individuals on the scene changed their story. In reality, one boy broke into the residence and fought with a youth in the house over a girl who was also in the house.
The boy in the house was stabbed.
The victim was taken to Bronson Battle Creek with non-life threatening injuries; the attacker is in custody at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.
