Pair suspected of making meth arrested in Van Buren County

Posted

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — Two people were arrested in Decatur after detectives busted them for making and delivering meth.

Friday, April 29th, Michigan State troopers say a traffic stop led authorities to finding the driver to be in possession of methamphetamine. Following the stop, a search warrant was carried out by the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) to a home in the 73000 block of 39th Street. At the home, they found several meth components, finished meth product, and a reactive methamphetamine vessel.

Steven Chabitch and Samantha Yeager – both from Decatur – were arrested. They were since arraigned on several meth charges, such as possession, manufacturing, and delivery of the drug.

Both the suspects were lodged at the Van Buren County Jail.
