GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A local developer officially broke ground Tuesday on Fulton Square.
Fulton Square is a new mixed-use development of restaurant, retail and residential space at the vacant corner of Carlton and Fulton Street in Grand Rapids. The site is the former lithographic company that burned several years ago.
The project will consist of two buildings. One, a three-story building will be all apartments, while the other will be four stories tall, and contain ground floor retail and restaurant spaces and then apartments upstairs. According to Orion Construction, the site will also have 92 parking spaces, including eight spaces for the Grand Rapids Opera House.
Construction is expected to be complete in early 2017.
