GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Police believe alcohol is a factor in a crash that sent three people to the hospital Saturday night.
It happened just before midnight at the intersection of Prairie Street and Wentworth Drive. The area was closed for a few hours while police investigated.
Officers say one vehicle that was heading northbound on Wentworth failed to stop at a stop sign. It went through the intersection and hit another car that was heading westbound on Prairie. Both vehicles then hit and damaged a utility pole.
One woman had to be extricated. Another passenger was thrown from their vehicle.
The three taken to the hospital had non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating.
