MARSHALL, Mich. — A driver on eastbound I-94 was killed early Friday in a crash involving a compact car and a semi. The eastbound lanes were closed for several hours but reopened around 6:45 a.m.
The driver, a 59-year-old man from Vancouver, Washington but yet unidentified, was stopped on the highway in a red Ford Escort around 2:15 a.m. when the semi hit the car. The semi was also damaged, but the semi driver was unhurt.
Investigation of the crash continues, but alcohol is believed to have been involved.
