KALAMAZOO, Mich. - A Kalamazoo man was arrested last week for allegedly killing his neighbor's dog with a sword.

Gary Singer, 28, was arrested by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers after they say he killed the dog, Cotton, during a fight.  Singer allegedly stabbed the dog because he didn't like animals in his yard.

The day after the incident, Singer posted a picture of himself on Facebook with a dog with the caption: "Don't believe everything you hear... I love dogs. Just don't like people that use them as a weapon."

Singer was charged with a felony for killing an animal.  He is currently free on bond.
