KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two fundraisers have been scheduled to benefit the victims and family members of victims in the Feb. 20 shooting spree.

The first is scheduled March 21 at two local Panera Bread locations.   Mention the Kalamazoo Strong organization or show them this flier between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and the restaurant will donate a percentage of the money from your order.

The participating locations are the restaurants at 5119 West Main St. and 5627 Gull Rd.

There is also a Dance-a-thon March 26 at the Sherman Lake YMCA, 6635 N. 39th St. in Augusta.   According to a release from Kalamazoo Strong, donations for the event will be accepted at the door.  People who attend are asked to donate $10.

Kalamazoo Strong t-shirts and decals will also be for sale at the event.

A previously scheduled fundraiser to benefit shooting victim Tiana Carruthers is scheduled for Friday at Galilee Baptist Church.   Carruthers was the first victim in the Feb. 20 shootings that killed six people and wounded two others.

She continues to recover in the hospital.
