Conservation officers in Utah captured on video the rescue of a mountain lion caught in a bobcat trap. The video shows how difficult and dangerous the rescue can be.
The officers carefully approach the animal and get a loop around its neck at about 1:15 in the video. A real struggle begins around 1:49 as the mountain lion thrashes about. Eventually the animal is allowed to run away.
The video was recorded in December and recently posted online.
