MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WHNT) – A video surfaced online Friday that appears to show a man recording himself urinating over a production line at the Kellogg’s plant in Memphis, Tennessee.
A Kellogg’s spokesperson claims the company just learned about the video, Tribune affiliate WHNT reports. But an internal investigation has revealed that the video was shot in 2014.
The FDA is investigating and agents are working to identify the man behind the camera so he can be prosecuted.
The video was shot during a period when the company and the union representing the workers were engaged in a labor dispute, and the employees were locked out, WHNT reports.
Kellogg’s has yet to determine exactly how many products could have been sold to customers, but officials stress the cereal would be expired by now and no longer in stores.
In a statement, the cereal maker indicated the products that could have been potentially affected were Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal, and rice cake products.
