ALLEGAN, Mich. - Mary Whiteford is officially the new state representative in Michigan's 80th District.
Whiteford (R) has easily defeated David Gernant (D) and Arnie Davidson (I) in the special election to replace Cindy Gamrat, who was expelled last year.
With 82% of the vote reporting, Whiteford had 63% of the vote to Gernant's 30% and Davidsons' 6%.
