SPARTA, Mich. — Most of the power has been restored to a northern Kent County community
Around 1,600 customers were without power in the Sparta area.
According to the Consumers Energy, power was back on by 9:15 p.m. on Friday. Officials also said remaining customers without power could expect restoration time to happen around midnight.
The outage was likely caused by an equipment failure.
