West Michigan –  After a couple of significant snow systems and some very cold morning, much warmer air is on the way.

The upper level wind pattern will start to change by late in the weekend. A ridge of high pressure will build over the Central Plains and move into the Great Lakes by Monday and Tuesday. That will push the arctic air back into Canada, and bring temperatures well above average into West Michigan.

Temperatures will climb above average on Sunday with some sunshine. Temperatures near 50° are expected on Monday and well into the 50s to near 60° by Wednesday. A slight cooling trend is expected for the end of the week.
