JENSION, Mich. — The community came together at Jension High School on Sunday to help support a sophomore at the school who had recently been diagnosed with leukemia.
Blake Kunzi was a well-known member of the school's water polo team but was pulled from the tournaments two days after receiving the devastating diagnosis.
He immediately started treatment and is in the process of completing it. Meanwhile, the community thought they'd help him out. A water polo tournament brought more than 32 teams from all over Michigan to the school.
There were support T-shirts being sold, a bake sale, and of course water polo. All the proceeds will go towards support for Blake Kunzi. If you'd like to help visit their GoFundMe page here.
